Andy Irwin is Managing Consultant with the Ireland office specialising in architectural acoustics, industrial & building services noise control and environmental noise impact.

Andy has worked as an acoustic consultant in Australia, England and Ireland for over 17 years.

Originally from Australia, Andy joined Marshall Day's Melbourne office after completing his Mechanical Engineering degree in 1993.  After working in Australia for six years, he travelled overseas and worked in several major UK and Irish acoustic consultancies.  This provided valuable experience in the construction methods, Standards and noise assessment criteria used in Europe.

Andy formed Marshall Day Acoustics Irish office in 2006.  Since its inception, this office has completed numerous high profile projects in the public and private sectors.

Andy has extensive experience in all areas of building acoustics, including performing arts, education, healthcare and commercial schemes.  He has been involved in a diverse range of projects including high-quality office fit-outs, live music venues, cinemas and music studios.

Ireland has seen rapid growth in the design and build of transportation infrastructure.  Andy has worked extensively in environmental noise modelling and assessment of these schemes.  Extensive 3-dimensional noise modelling has been undertaken and he has presented expert evidence in support of a number of transportation schemes and other planning related issues.
