Brendon Shanks is a consultant based in the Auckland office, working in the fields of environmental noise control and building acoustics.

Brendon moved from Dunedin in 2007 to join Marshall Day in Auckland.  As a student at the University of Otago, Brendon took an interest in acoustics through the combination of his studies in physics and music.

Since joining Marshall Day, Brendon has worked on a wide range of projects and has gained experience in various aspects of acoustical consultancy.

Recent project experience includes:

:: Marine Events Centre - room acoustics, sound insulation and expert evidence.

:: Electrical Substation Projects - Clendon and Greenhithe Substations - noise control and assessment of noise effects.

:: Gisborne Waste Water Treatment Plant - noise control and assessment of noise effects.

:: Eden Park Redevelopment - event noise monitoring.

Brendon is a singer in the Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir and several choirs in Auckland and has previously been a member of the NZ Youth Choir.
