Chris Day
Christopher Day, is a founding partner of Marshall Day Acoustics based in the Auckland Office.
Originally from Australia, Chris settled in New Zealand in 1981 after a one year 'break' sailing the south pacific. Chris has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University, Melbourne. His engineering background formed a complimentary relationship with Harold Marshall's architectural skills which has helped shape the direction of the company.
35 years in acoustics has seen Chris build up a wide range of experience in both building acoustics and environmental noise. His specialist interests have become acoustics for the performing arts and transportation noise. Chris has been involved with a number of major international projects including the Orange County Performing Arts Centre, the Academy of Music Philadelphia, and the Philharmonie de Paris. Chris has a keen interest in music, playing several instruments, with his current focus the in-house 'One Third Octave Band'.
