Peter Ibbotson
Peter Ibbotson is a consultant with the Auckland Office specialising in room acoustics and environmental noise modelling and control.
Peter's career as an acoustical consultant has seen him work on a wide range of projects including heavy industry, entertainment venues, cultural precincts, concert venues and transportation noise. Peter's background as a mechanical engineer and previous employment in a range of industries including mining and process engineering has provided him with a broad understanding of the operational requirement of industry. Peter has an interest in the recording and performance of music and has been fortunate to be involved with musically important venues such as the Dunedin Town Hall and Glenroy Room.
Originally from the Far North of New Zealand, Peter has worked for several other companies before joining the Christchurch office of Marshall Day in 2006. He now works in the Auckland office. Peter obtained his Mechanical Engineering degree from Auckland University in 2001.
