Siiri Wilkening
Siiri Wilkening is based in the Auckland office specialising in environmental noise assessments and computer noise modelling.
Siiri graduated with a Masters degree in Landscaping and Environmental Protection from the University of Rostock in Germany. She worked in Germany for two years in the acoustics section of the TUV Nord Umweltschultz GmbH and was mainly involved with city noise mapping using the computer program LIMA.
After immigrating to New Zealand in 1997, Siiri joined Marshall Day in 1998 and has since worked predominantly in environmental acoustics, specialising in the measurement and assessment of environmental noise, computer noise modelling and traffic and industrial noise assessment and mitigation.
Siiri provides support for the computer noise modelling software SoundPLAN in New Zealand and Australia and manages the NZ distribution.
Siiri is involved with the development of a New Zealand road traffic noise standard (NZS 6806) and has presented expert evidence at many Council Hearings, Environment Court, Mediation and Arbitration Court Hearings.

:: SH20 Waterview Connection - route evaluation, computer noise modelling, noise surveys, assessment of noise effects for Notice of Requirement.
:: Vic Park Tunnel - noise and vibration surveys, computer noise modelling, ANE for NoR, expert witness for Council Hearing.
:: Three Kings Quarry - noise surveys, computer noise modelling of several layouts, ANE for Resource Consent application, expert witness for Council Hearing.
:: North Shore Busway - Noise surveys, ANE for NoR, construction noise management and detailed design.
:: Turitea Windfarm - Peer review of acoustic assessment, computer noise modelling, input in BoI Hearing.
In her spare time, Siiri can be found tramping in the New Zealand back country and taking photos.
