Marshall Day Acoustics provided acoustic consulting services for the new $90 Million General Motors Holden Headquarters.

Located at Fisherman's Bend, Melbourne. The 30,000m2, three level office building incorporates private and open office areas and galleries incorporating audio-visual displays and presentation spaces. It also includes a corporate and conference centre with a multi-purpose function centre.

We provided input to the design and development of internal and external sound insulation systems and services noise control. Sound absorptive treatment has been installed throughout the gallery spaces to provide an acoustic environment that supports a variety of uses that includes audio-visual displays and presentations.

Marshall Day Acoustics worked closely with the project team which included the architect (Peddle Thorp Melbourne) and Holden representatives to develop innovative solutions to acoustic and noise control issues throughout the project.

This ensured that the highest possible level of acoustic quality was provided whilst remaining compatible with Holden's work systems and the need for an office layout with future flexibility.
