Attending the theatre is a collective experience - the interaction of a diverse group of people for a cultural purpose. The architecture of a theatre must therefore impart a clear and strong identity for the performance venue. The building must stimulate the public imagination and become an easily recognisable destination for theatre and cultural events.

STATE THEATRE CENTRE, Perth, Australia

The design of the State Theatre was successfully undertaken by our Melbourne based acoustic and theatre design team.

Designed by award-winning Kerry Hill Architects, the design will deliver a building which will not only provide a functional and inspiring venue for performers and their audiences, but will also be a defining architectural landmark for Perth.

The State Theatre Centre will present contemporary performing arts, such as theatre and dance, in diverse ways with a focus on distinctive professional and contemporary work produced locally, nationally and internationally
