Media Release

Auckland, New Zealand – 30 May 2024

Marshall Day Acoustics (MDA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Malcolm Dunn as the new Managing Principal for its New Zealand operations, effective 1 June 2024. This change follows Chris Day’s decision to take a step back from active day-to-day management. Chris will remain part of the MDA family, offering ongoing mentorship and guidance, as well as continuing to consult on key projects on a part-time basis.

The promotion of Malcolm reflects MDA’s commitment to recognising and nurturing internal talent and providing growth opportunities for its employees. With an impressive 25 years of dedicated service, Malcolm brings a deep understanding of MDA, a passion for the industry, and a steadfast dedication to upholding the company’s values and vision for the future.

Despite the change in leadership, there will be no disruptions to the day-to-day operations. Chris will extend his support to Malcolm during the transition period, ensuring a smooth handover.

Chris Day expressed enthusiasm about Malcolm’s new role, stating, “We are thrilled to see Malcolm stepping into the new role. He’s been with us for many years, so it’s great to see his longstanding dedication and excitement inject some new energy into our management team.”

Join us in congratulating Malcolm Dunn on this exciting new chapter and wishing him continued success in leading MDA in New Zealand.
