Oskar Wesley-Smith
Oskar is a Consultant based in the Sydney office, specialising in environmental noise assessment, 3D noise modelling, noise monitoring and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
He holds a Bachelor of Design (Digital Media) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and is currently undertaking a Master of Architectural Science (Audio & Acoustics) (Sustainable Design) at the University of Sydney.
Since joining MDA as a student intern in 2020, Oskar has worked on a diverse range of projects across various sectors. He is a strong supporter of the energy transition and has become a core member of the Australian renewables team at MDA, where he has developed specialist expertise in the pre- and post- construction assessment of renewable energy infrastructure projects, particularly wind farms and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
He has also developed a leading GIS skillset and is passionate about exploring innovative ways GIS can enhance project planning, environmental impact assessments, and overall acoustic engineering service delivery.
Key project experience includes renewable energy infrastructure noise measurement and planning/compliance assessments, general industrial noise assessments, environmental planning noise assessments and the commissioning of residential, educational, and mixed-use buildings.
