Tessa Phillips
Tessa is an acoustician based in the Auckland office specialising in residential acoustical design and information management.
Currently Tessa uses her varied skill set in a business and technical support capacity, especially supporting MDA's internal knowledge sharing systems and documentation.
Tessa completed a Master of Science in Physics & Acoustics at the University of Auckland in 1997, following an early interest in Physics, Music, Architecture and Engineering. After a detour into IT support and IT training work, starting a family, administrative work and further studies in information management, Tessa returned to her acoustical roots at Marshall Day in September 2016.
Tessa was a key researcher on the 2016-2017 collaborative BRANZ project "Acoustical design of medium density housing", funded by the Building Research Levy (BRANZ Study Report ER30).
