Marshall Day Acoustics’ operations in China and Hong Kong

After nearly 20 years operating in Hong Kong and China, Marshall Day Acoustics has decided to close its offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

We remain fully committed to our existing projects which will be completed by our team in Australia with on the ground support from Eric Liu in China and Ka Kin Kwok in Hong Kong.

We also welcome the opportunity to undertake new projects across China, Hong Kong and throughout Asia from our offices in Australia and New Zealand.

Our work in China and Hong Kong was led by the Founder of Marshall Day Acoustics in Australia, Peter Fearnside, whose vision and leadership were instrumental in establishing our reputation as the region's leading acoustic consultants. Peter’s passion, technical expertise, and collaborative approach have left an indelible and positive legacy that we are immensely proud of.

Our work in the region has been on some of the most outstanding performance spaces in the world, including the Guangzhou Opera House with Zaha Hadid Architects, the world's first asymmetric opera house, the striking Zhuhai Opera House and the Lyric Theatre Complex at West Kowloon Cultural District which is currently nearing completion.

We also express our sincere gratitude to our talented team members, Xiaojun Du, Eric Liu, Ka Kin Kwok, Walter Yeung, along with many others who have played vital roles in delivering outstanding work over the years. Their dedication and efforts have been central to our success and are deeply appreciated.

“We want to assure our valued clients and partners that while our physical presence is evolving, our commitment to delivering world-class acoustic design globally, including mainland China and Hong Kong, remains unwavering,” stated Marshall Day Acoustics Australia CEO, Christophe Delaire. “All existing projects will continue to be managed with the same dedication, quality, and technical excellence that clients have come to expect from Marshall Day Acoustics, supported by our experienced Australian-based teams.”
