Mathew Cottle
Mathew is an Associate with the Hamilton office specialising in environmental noise and vibration assessment and control.
He joined Marshall Day Acoustics in 2007 after graduating from the University of Sydney with a Master of Design Science (Audio Design). Mathew has extensive experience in environmental noise and vibration monitoring and assessment for residential, commercial and industrial developments. He has performed assessments for major wind farm developments in the southern tablelands of New South Wales, Australia and has assisted Watercare Services Limited on many NZ water infrastructure projects over the years. He has assisted major electrical infrastructure clients with noise assessments for many projects. Mathew has attended numerous Council RMA hearings and the Environment Court.
Mathew also has extensive experience in the three-dimensional computer modelling of indoor/outdoor industrial noise sources, ranging from large-scale wind farms to electricity substations to large dairy factories. Mathew also has experience in building and room acoustics. Currently, he handles all sales and support queries for SoundPLAN noise modelling software in New Zealand.
