Javier Sanz
Javier is a consultant based in the Auckland office who specialises in the acoustic design of performing arts venues, recording studios and education facilities.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering (Hons), followed by a Master in Acoustical Engineering for Building and Environment from the Technical University of Madrid, Spain. As part of his Master’s thesis, Javier collaborated in the design of several recording studios and rehearsal rooms.
Javier joined Marshall Day Acoustics in early 2014. He has a broad range of experience in room acoustics, sound insulation, and mechanical services noise control. He is an experienced user of 3D room acoustics modelling software, and development of acoustic oriented tools in Rhino 3D and Grasshopper. Javier was part of the team that developed The Listening Room.
