Our Scope

Marshall Day Acoustics' work involved:

  • Preparation of 2035 Australian Noise Exposure Forecast (ANEF) for RAAF Base East Sale

  • Measurement of PC-21 operational noise levels, and derivation of Noise Power Distance (NPD) data, suitable for input to the 2035 ANEF model

  • Forecasting future noise levels around RAAF Base East Sale for a range of operating scenarios, including seasonal variations and routine training operations

  • Establishing baseline noise conditions, noise modelling, analysis of flight paths and movement statistics, and the preparation of 2015 Australian Noise Exposure Index

  • Presentations at community and local government consultation events


MDA was engaged by Defence to produce the 2035 ANEF for RAAF Base East Sale. The team’s technical knowledge, analysis, professionalism and stakeholder engagement met our requirements and allowed for noise maps to be developed in an efficient manner.
