Mathew Garland

He graduated with a Master of Design Innovation & Technology from RMIT, where he completed interdisciplinary research projects involving sonification, ambisonics, and soundscape techniques.
His passion for acoustics began with his experience working in recording studios, noticing the impact the built environment had on the recordings, and the overall atmosphere of the studio.
He has a wide range of experience in all aspects of environmental noise measurement, prediction and assessment. He has been involved in assessments for industrial compliance, environmental planning, and residential lots exposed to noise from traffic, rail and aircraft.
He has also been involved in the design of several building projects, ranging from small scale residential and commercial developments to large scale educational facilities.
Throughout each project, Mathew continually brings his commitment to creating healthy and sustainable aural environments for the community.
