Our Scope

Marshall Day Acoustics provided full acoustic design services on the project, which includes:

  • Sound insulation

  • Vibration isolation for noise-sensitive spaces

  • Internal acoustic environment for all spaces including studios, technical areas and offices

  • Mechanical services noise control

We worked closely with Probuild, the Managing Contractor to proactively manage the project's acoustic requirements. New measurement techniques using IRIS were employed to verify the acoustic performance at the project completion.

The ABC was very pleased to partner again with Marshall Day Acoustics to produce world-class audio and video production and broadcast facilities, as they did for the original ABC Southbank Project in the nineties. In addition, MDA assisted the ABC in managing and mitigating the significant noise impact on its operations during the construction phase. MDA staff set a benchmark for professionalism and commitment on the project.
