Liam Kemp
Liam is a senior consultant with the Melbourne office. He joined the MDA team in 2018 to pursue his interest in sound and acoustics, after graduating with a Bachelor of Sound and Music Design from the University of Technology.
He has gained experience across a diverse range of building, environmental and planning projects, and has experience in a wide range of areas including most aspects of building acoustics and environmental noise modelling and assessments.
Liam has a particular interest in the assessment of environmental noise of all kinds, and is skilled at providing clients with the acoustic services they need at all stages of the project lifespan, from early feasibility studies through to the preparation of submissions and final commissioning measurements.
He has gained significant experience in the assessment of a wide variety of electrical infrastructure projects, including large-scale power stations, transformers, substations, solar farms and battery energy storage systems (BESS). He particularly enjoys the process of working with clients to respond to the unique acoustical challenges that are common in this rapidly growing and evolving field and takes pride in being a part of the move towards a greener future.
Other particular areas of experience include the assessment of noise from mechanical services, live music venues, traffic noise intrusion, service stations, warehouses and logistics facilities, places of worship and educational facilities.
