Le Château Development

Designed by award-winning architect Marc Barani, (recipient of the National Grand Prize for Architecture), this mixed-use development aims to revitalise the city centre of Mouans-Sartoux, near Cannes on the French Riviera.

The project comprises 51 social housing apartments, a commercial building with a medical centre, a performing arts centre, and community facilities such as a police station and a nursery.

Our Scope

Marshall Day Acoustics is part of the design team, providing consultancy across all aspects of acoustics for the project.

Our work spans the full project lifecycle, from design development through to construction supervision and commissioning.

CHALLENGES

The mix of residential, commercial, community, and performance spaces required careful consideration of acoustic separation between spaces.

A key challenge was achieving high sound insulation between the performing arts centre and nearby apartments, where event noise levels can reach up to 95 dBA, while maintaining the project’s design intent and functionality.
