Marvel Stadium
The 53,000-capacity multipurpose stadium underwent a major redevelopment of its eastern and southern entry precincts, known as the Marvel Stadium Upgrade (MSU). The works comprised three main elements: City Edge, Town Square, and general stadium upgrades.
The City Edge building extension on the eastern (city) side includes a new entry gate and concourse, guest services and box office, bars and restaurant tenancies, and two new function suites with views of the Melbourne CBD.
Town Square involved the upgrade and refurbishment of internal areas on the southern side, including a new large atrium space, guest services and box office, and indoor and outdoor bar and restaurant tenancies. The stadium upgrades included new team facilities, new videoboards, and reconfiguration of the radio studio, umpires’ observation room and match production suite.
