Juan Óscar works as an acoustic engineer in the Cannes office. He is a professionally qualified telecommunications engineer with a master’s in acoustic engineering.

He has over ten years experience specialising in room acoustic design for performing arts facilities. He joined Marshall Day Acoustics in 2019 and has worked on projects across Europe, Australia, People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong SAR. Recent projects of note include Trinity Performing Arts Centre (Australia), Xi’an City Living Room (China), Le Grand T (France), and Palais de Congrès de Nimes (France).

Before joining Marshall Day, he worked at Kahle Acoustics in Brussels, where he worked on multiple performing arts venues such as Fuzhou Strait Culture and Art Centre (China), Grand Manège in Namur (Belgium), Thâtre le Rideau (Belgium), Opéra des Nations (Switzerland), Rehearsal Room for ONPL (France) and L'Etoile de Mouvaux (France). He then worked at VK Engineering as a specialist in room acoustics and as part of the Computational Design group.

He is a guest lecturer at the Architectural Association London, and has previously been a lecturer in Architectural Acoustics at the Conservatory of Music and Arts, Arts2 in Belgium. He is a regular guest and co-directs thesis at the UCLM in Spain.

Juan Óscar is an accomplished acoustic-oriented software developer in Rhino 3D and Grasshopper and is an expert in Computational Design.
